Richard discovered his passion for whiskey while working as a bartender in Boston, where he is currently based. His extensive knowledge of whiskey led him to become the beverage director for the Franklin Group's Citizen Public House, one of the Northeast's top whiskey bars, in 2014. With 10 years of service & hospitality experience ... focusing directly in cocktail execution & development, Richard helped develop the program into one of the city’s most prominent cocktail bars.

In 2016, Richard joined Heaven Hill's sales team, where he expanded his expertise on Heaven Hill whiskeys and American whiskey as a whole. In 2022, he was recruited by Bernie Lubbers, Heaven Hill's Whiskey Professor and Lead Whiskey Ambassador, to join his team and further explore the Heaven Hill House Style of producing some of the most renowned and award-winning brands in the Bourbon and American Whiskey industry. With a unique blend of cocktail knowledge and whiskey expertise, Richard's mission is to educate all American whiskey enthusiasts and highlight its versatility in cocktails, while celebrating its rich historical roots.
